Sunny Coastal Town
Marine Garden is a Bedouin Camp, a unique type of accomodation found only in the Sinai region of Egypt. It is ideal for the independent minded backpacker.
The camp is on the seafront in the Lighthouse area of Dahab, a quiet, laid-back town on the Red Sea coast. It has a predominantly Bedouin native population and a truly international group of long term foreign residents.
There is an active nightlife with many nightclubs and bars open till late.
Dahab has a desert climate with high temperatures, minimal rainfall and plenty of sunshine all year round

World class diving - Europe's "coral coast"
Dahab is a world famous centre for scuba diving. The Red Sea has the most northerly coral reefs in the world which makes it an ideal destination for European travellers who want to experience spectacular dive sites close to home.
There is great diving right here in town and world class sites, such as the Blue Hole and Gabr El Bint are just a short taxi ride away. Numerous dive centres offer training courses for the beginner and experienced diver alike.

Snorkelling
If you aren't into diving or if you are on a limited budget then you can experience the spectacular coastal reefs as a snorkler. You can snorkel in Dahab itself, ride out to one of the top dive sites or even take a boat ride. Buy your own equipment here or rent from one of the numerous stalls along the sea front.

Free diving
The Blue Hole, with its famous descent, attracts free divers for sport and training every season. Training schools have sprung up in recent years to make sure that free divers are well eduacted in techniques and safety procedures. Dahab is an ideal place to learn.

Wind surfing
Strong north easterly winds, mainly in autumn and winter, provide ideal conditions for windsurfers. Well equipped multilingual centres around the Laguna hire out equipment and provide training for all levels, though there are also centres around the Lighthouse. The sheltered bay of the laguna is an ideal place for beginners to develop their confidence while the more experienced surfers can enjoy the freedom of the open sea.

International
Dive schools and wind surf centres provide services for people from many different countries. English is the main language but there are also centres catering to the increasing number of Russian and German tourists.

Travel In Sinai
Dahab is the perfect place from which to explore the Sinai, in particular the monastery of Saint Katherine and the Mount Sinai of the bible. It is easy to reach the major local destination of Sharm El Sheikh, and it’s international airport, and there are regular transport links to Cairo.

Traditional values
The owners have worked hard to preserve the traditional Bedouin flavour of the camp. It is one of the few authentic camps left in the town.
The emphasis is on partnership and sociability rather than on hard headed business.

Easy going life style
At Marine Garden, away from the busy centre of the town, you can relax and chill out at your own pace.
The camp is right on the sea front, so you can relax on the beach and enjoy the clear skies and unobstructed view across the water to the coastal mountains of nearby Saudi Arabia.

Access to facilities
But the camp is far from being isolated - situated just a few minutes walk away from the Lighthouse, one of the towns main diving hubs and transport centres, getting around couldn't be easier. All the towns shops and restaurants are within easy reach by foot.
And the Bedouin village of Asalah, is close by, where you can experience the day to day life of the local Bedouin population.
